I am Karin, very interesting article that contained the information I was searching for in Google, thanks.
Hey Schnipp (do you still go by that monicker?),
I just discovered your podcast, and I’m loving it!
I once explained the difference between the English w-sound and w-sound to great effect to a student by staging an imaginary war between vampires and werewolves: ‘V’ is the sound vampires make when hissing and baring their fangs, while ‘W’ is the sound werewolves make when howling at the moon. Just try it out, it makes much more sense when actually doing it than just reading it!
hey. I do, with some people. Thanks for the suggestion, that seems to work. Can you think of a less scary example for little kids and shy ladies?
