Episode #132 – bread vs. breath vs. breadth

March 5th, 2010 by Sebastian

In this episode we discuss what happens when you try to put a ‘d’ in front of a ‘th’. Also, the cat makes an appearance. What do you think? Don’t forget to check this entry on the Facebook page if you are interested in chatting with Tatyana.

  • Hello, Sebastian! Thanks a lot for yet another great episode and I’m sure I’m not the only one who enjoyed it very much. Of course I’m still watching your podcasts, how could I miss such fun and effective tips and tricks to improve my hopeless English? 🙂 I’m from Ukraine and that’s not a big deal to mix that up 🙂 Even though here is a tip – Belarussia (Belarus) is known for amounts of potatoes they grow (and I’ve heard that German do like Kartoffel :). And mostly potatoes are white (“Belo” in the name of the country is translated into English as “white”). Here you have the association with Belorussia 🙂 And Ukraine was a heart of the great Kyivan Rus. It was something like United Kingdom. So you’ve got UK as starting letters of the Ukraine. Anyway, thanks again for this episode and best wishes for the coming weekend!

  • Thanks for still watching! I think I’ll search for “ra” as part of your name. It’s in Ukraine, but not in Belarus…
